What we collect when you ask for a quote, why we hold it and how to get it removed.
Who we are
This website is operated by PayPoint UK Payments, an independent SumUp payments specialist based in Northern Ireland, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the information you submit through this site. Contact us at Stephen.craven.external@sumup.com or 07516 969877.
What we collect
When you complete a quote form we collect your name, business name, email address, phone number and postcode, along with the answers you give about card turnover, terminal requirements and current provider. We also record basic marketing attribution data such as the page you landed on, the referring website and any campaign parameters in the URL.
Why we use it
We use your details solely to respond to your enquiry, recommend a suitable payment setup and, where you ask us to, arrange your account. Our lawful basis is legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry you initiated, and consent where you have ticked the contact box.
Who we share it with
We share your details with a payment provider only where that is necessary to progress the setup you have asked for. We never sell your data and we do not pass it to unrelated third-party marketing lists.
How long we keep it
Enquiry records are retained for up to 24 months from your last contact with us, after which they are deleted unless we are required to keep them for accounting or legal reasons.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us processing it. Email Stephen.craven.external@sumup.com and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies and analytics
We use analytics to understand how the site is used and to measure which pages generate enquiries. Attribution data is stored in your browser's session storage and is cleared when you close the tab.
